In Loving Memory of TEX The mighty Itailian Greyhound
Lets start with the name Tex, although very small; she had a heart the size of Texas spreading Love everywhere she went. Tex is a female Italian Greyhound that weighed less than 6 pounds and was born in February 2005. She was unusually small in-fact maybe one of the smallest Italian Greyhounds around. When she was born and until she was almost 4 or 5 months old, she was kind of sickly and weak, but after many trips to the vet she gained her strength and seemed to be normal. This might account for her small size. The most common question about Tex was “is she a miniature” as far as I know there is no miniature Greyhound breed; she’s just a small Italian Greyhound. Her size and huge personality made her a magnet to animal and dog lovers. We took her almost everywhere and when it was cold I she fit nicely in my zip up hoody. Tex spent most of her days in Bed or on the coach Lounging, Sun Bathing Eating or playing. Sometimes she goes out with her owner for meet and greets, spreading the love. Recently we took her to First Friday in Venice, where thousands of people from LA come to party, eat out and visit art shows. She was such an attraction we could barley move through the event, so we had to leave he in the car so we could be left to ourselves. Of course she was great for making friends and meeting new people, when you’re in the mood. Hundreds of photos have been taken with her and admirers as well as photo shoots with models or product shots. She liked small squeaky toys and loved her very best friends Austin the Whippet and our cat Buddha. If you are thinking about an Italian Greyhound we have provided many links to great sites to do the research. They are very special creatures, don’t underestimate their powers because of their size, they can be huge as the Great Dane. Over the years she began having some digestive problems which on May 29, 2010 finally caught up with her. She will be missed.
